Is BudgetLuma good for splitting bills between roommates?
Yes. Create one shared wallet for the apartment, invite each flatmate as an editor, and everyone logs rent, bills and shared shopping. The contribution balance shows who paid what and the fair split, so settling up is simple.
Does it move money or pay my flatmates automatically?
No. BudgetLuma tracks and splits the numbers so the maths is always clear — but it does not process payments between people. You transfer your share however you normally do; the app keeps the record honest.
Do all my flatmates have to pay for Premium?
No. Only the person who creates and owns the shared wallet needs Premium. Every invited flatmate joins and participates for free — adding expenses, viewing balances and following the contribution balance.
What if flatmates pay in different currencies?
That is fine. Each expense keeps its original amount and currency and converts to the wallet’s base currency with a stored rate. International flat-shares still get one clean, reconcilable total.
Can I show the month to someone who isn’t in the app?
Yes. Turn the apartment wallet into a public share link — a read-only page with totals, top categories and budget progress. It never exposes individual transactions or anyone’s email, and you can switch it off anytime.
